  1. I just got a note from Garmin saying the will not be supporting these charts, and moving forward their units will not be compatible with any charts other than Garmin. The reason is they want to be able to support the user experience from start to finish, and by allowing other software into their systems they lose this control and ultimately open themselves and their users to potential problems. Makes sense to me. Garmin likes to keep it easy, this keeps it easy.
  2. I know Navionics is sending them out to certain people. Garmin is not yet supporting it, so you can't call Garmin about it.
  3. yachtjim, if the OP questions are read and understood, then the OP is inquiring about a proposed Dual Pro charger, so the reply I posted remains accurate and complete. He is actually inquiring about using two different types of batteries with the ACR....if the question is read and understood correctly.
  4. Ducers generally don't work at speed on a flat bottom boat. I think yours not working is exactly what you should expect.
  5. Wingless, the battery charger does not come into play with a Blue Seas ACR. The batteries are charged by the motor. I am not aware of any alternators that can choose what battery chemistry a boat has.
  6. Q) If the "Add a Battery" switch is OFF, can and will the ACR still combine the batteries? I'm looking at putting in a Dual Pro charger and am unsure if it should be a single bank or two bank. I would prefer a dual bank charging the two separately. A - I see no reason why a single bank charger wouldn't charge both. We always set them up with 2 bank chargers though, so i have never tried it with a single. Q) Any problem with paralleling an AGM and a Lead-Acid through the ACR? There seems to a lot of different opinions on this. A - Over my pay scale. There are people out there with far more expertise in batteries than me. I do not see why it would be an issue though. Q) Any difficulties connecting the ACR to the key switch start circuit on an older Yamaha F225? I'm assuming it's easy and straightforward....just curious if anyone has run into issues. A - Why would you connect it to the key switch?

  8. What happened to that post and the follow up posts? We are dealing with bad person. I don't want any part of it on my site.
  9. The P79 has the same guts as the B60, but the hull does reduce your range. That is the ducer in your pic.
  10. Kilowatt is right about the ducer. I would suggest replacing it with a B60 thru-hull. that should help your performance significantly.
  11. Hi Greg, I wish you would have said this AFTER we made the fix. Feeling jinxed now!!! We'll get'er done.
  12. That is an awesome boat!! Good luck with the sale. I hope whoever buys it shows off some pics when its done!
  13. Lowrance just announced today that there is a big price drop. I guess in anticipation of the new units coming out next year. Our website pricing is updated.
