    While you are down here Try S.o.B.'s on Ft Myers beach. They have a spicy shrimp dish that will knock your socks off. Shrimp aeole(sp).The food up on top of the Lani Kiabeach web cam was surprisingly good too, and what a view. Mike

    Curmudgeon summed it up pretty well. Other added benefits to having a utilization plan is that 1) you will know how to use the valve system on your boat 2) It will actually work when you need it(valves like to be exercised). Mike

    If you want a good neighborhood and don't want P.G., try West county. While central PC has some fantastic neighborhoods, many are too close to BAD neighborhoods for me. I'm not talking out of my butt. I'm a service plumber who works from Nokomis to Ft. Myers and from B.G. to Arcadia. Mike

    If you have the opportunity, rent a boat to see how long it takes to get out of your perspective canals. I don't recommend North Port. Sarasota county, on the Myakka, is all no wake. Good luck The Myakka is no wake? In Charlotte County,no. In Sarasota County, YES! If you like the Myakka river, look at Gulf cove, South Gulf Cove and El Jobean. NW port Charlotte has access to the river too, but the canal entrances are few and very tricky to get out. I've hit bottom with my 10' inflatable, on plane, in the marked channel. Mike
