  1. I am planning on getting a GPS which can be used to connect to my marine VHF and also used on road. I was looking at the Garmin Colorado or Garmin 76cxs handhelds. I don't have a lot of money (the boss gave me a limit) to spend and want to get the right unit the first time. Any ideas? Thanks
  2. Thanks, I guess I'll get one of the ICOMs.
  3. I am planning on purchasing a VHF marine radio, dash mount. I was wondering what others had and what you liked or disliked about them.
  4. I have the Hummingbird Matrix 37, it is the first one I have owned, and it seems to work great for me.
  5. Great idea, I always wondered how that was accomplished.
  6. Handle name is after my Siberian Husky (it means arctic wolf in Inuit) haven't named the boat yet.
  7. I use the Sears Platinum (their version of the optima for less cost) and have had great luck.
  8. I agree 100%, it is OK to use a weapon if you or someone else s life is in danger. He did the right thing. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
  9. Thanks again to everyone for all the assist, I'll have to get the video before I attempt the repair.
  10. Thanks for all the help. I'll see if the manufacturer has the color, and if not will do my best.
  11. Thanks for the assist. I'll see if spectrum color can help, if not maybe I can find a Jedi master (as BeauBeau says) that will color match, or maybe just live with little miss matched spots.
  12. Hi, I'm new here and not sure where to post this question. I have a few nicks in the gelcoat, and would like to do the repair myself. My question is how difficult is it to color match? I have heard of a company that will color match, but I can't locate them (does anyone know of a company) is it worth doing it that way or should I try to color match myself? Thanks for any help.
  13. Hi, newbe here. I work on jets but love boats. Not as much of a fisherman as I would like to be the fun is just being on the water.
