  1. I had one for a while. It was a 1994 model. Great boat. Kinda miss it
  2. I have been having an on going problem with one of my engines. When under an extra load, like hitting a wave or throttling hard to plane, The engine surges and temporarily drops power. I'm pretty sure it's due to the VST pump. I drained the tank and cleaned the filter and the engine ran perfect for about 20 hours and the problem resumed. What can or should I do to stop this or at least extend the period between VST cleanings. By the way, it's interesting that it has only been happening on my Starboard engine!?! Thanks, Todd
  3. Wiley. Give me a shout if you would like to do some quailty t-shirts. Right here in pompano since 1980. Todd
  4. I have 2 SHIMANO TORIUM 30's that I just don't use. Reels are in great condition. Used minimally for 6 months and have been stored in their boxes for a year after being cleaned and greased. $100each plus shipping. Can take paypall.
  5. I have 2 SHIMANO TRINIDAD 40TN that I just don't use. Reels are in great condition. Used minimally for 6 months and have been stored in their boxes for a year after being cleaned and greased. $260each plus shipping. Can take paypall.
  6. I have a regulator and I really like it. That being said if I was looking for another similar trype boat I would seriously take a look at the onslowbay boat. I think they look incredible.
  7. Not sure what the big deal is for you or why you think they were Professional. Sounds like they were on a good school of fish and we're picking up and running to get back in front of them. While trolling on a constant heading and not realizing what was going on in the water with these boats...maybe you (1boat) were interfering with 2 other boats. Everyone is having fun out there when they are biting.
  8. My vote is for the shimano 6500. If you are fishing for dolphin, sailfish, blackfin tuna, kingfish & even wahoo, you really only need to spool with 20lb test. 30lb on a spinner really hurts it's casting ability. If you are pitching small baits like pilchards and sardines you will get frustrated with it. I actually spool everything with 20lb except the larger reels used for trolling heavy lures and swordfishing. You'll experience more bites with the lighter line and it's better presentation with the bait. Just saying!
  9. Fishing on Sat was pretty good just north of Boca inlet. Lots of assorted kingfish(10lbs-40lbs) in the 100-140ft depth. Sailfish are in the same depth. Fishing gogs and chumming live pilchards produced some great non stop action all day. Looking forward to getting out again when the wind turns around to the north. Lets get some more reports going. Cheers, T O Double D
