  1. You can use it to help find heat/cooling leaks around windows at home. I have also used them for trouble shooting a plugged radiator. Many different uses.
  2. Thanks for all of the replies. I got back from Florida on monday, the trailer did fine. The temps ranged any where from about 103 to 145 degree's, during heavy traffic i had the brake hubs reach 185 degrees. I did notice wear on the inside of each tire the pressure was correct, the wheels balanced and the boat loaded correctly. Other than that no issues. Thanks again for the replies.
  3. Thanks to all who replied, I do have the super lube hubs. When I pump grease in them I watch for grease to extrude from the weep hole in the back of the spindle. Again thanks for the responses.
  4. HOTSPOT; Cracker, Thanks for the replies; again I do not think I will have an issue. I am just concerned this is the first large trip with this rig. I have been pulling trailers for about 20 years but nothing more than maybe 80 miles at a time. Cracker how is the fishing down there; I will be in your neck of the woods for about a week prior to going to the gulf to do some fishing. I am staying in Jacksonville and have family in Flagler Beach.
  5. I am taking a trip from Rhode Island to Florida with the boat. The boat is a 23ft walk around and the trailer is a dual axle with surge disc brakes on the front axle. The trailer is three years old and well maintained. I do not expect any issues and I believe I am well prepared for the trip. I have a spare tire, hub with bearings, tools, inferred temp gun and of course a grease gun. I plan to pump grease into the hubs every time I stop for gas. I know that the front axle should be warmer due to the brakes but I am curious as to what I should expect for normal hub temps. I do understand a lot will depend on speed and traffic conditions; however any insight would be of great benefit?
