The boat has been great and is in very good condition, huge cockpit good for fishing, picnicing,etc...desperation price....$21,000............... off the market due to sinking in the monsoon of 12-18-09............
  5. Yeah, Luddi...tahnk God i have ins. $2800 to lift and pump, $350 to tow to marina for survey...at 11:30PM boat was ok, pumps pumping their guts out...1 or both must have died overnight, we had 18" of rain...at 7:30 AM looked outside...not so good...starboard gunnel 15" under, put in emerg pump, called tow/boat and ins. co. pumps were just circulatiing the water till the air bags lifted...starboard eng under for over an hour, ALL elect runs go along starboard side!!!! hoping for a total out because elect probs will ever end after being drowned...
  6. anyone else have their boat swamped, flooded, sink during the monsoon last Friday ? mine went under till stern line halted sinking, took air bags and huge pumps to re-float..one engine shot for sure, damage to other...waiting for surveyors report now...
  7. In addition to the declining health issues...my business is off over 40%...I really need to sell. The boat has been great and is in very good condition, huge cockpit good for fishing, picnicing,etc...desperation price....$21,000...............

  9. what we have here is a failure to communicate.......
  10. That's what I decided when shopping......I am not a novice, this is boat #9....... The cockpit is very large, has 240 gal fuel, AND the sole that covers it is one piece that is removable, guttered and sealed. 2 large in sole fishboxes, they do drain to a sump in the bilge with a pump, would prefer overboard direct, I pump it over board now. the large live well works great, has the "standing" feeder pipe that puts out 8 jets at different levels...many other features, I like it a lot......got a compliment form a GW Marlin owner on a group trip to Bimini........I paced him on the way over...he said...I didn't know Trophy made a boat that nice...gave me a thumbs up..........his 30 ftr cost about...2.5 times what my 28 ftr cost...
  11. Aboater...all that you say is true...there was however positive change in construction methods/materials to Trophy in 2000, that's what I see in my 2000, 2802WA... the only "cheap" thing I have found in 9yrs, 5 mos of ownership is the bilge pumps... 2 out of three failed within 3 yrs...not terrible either.....1 original is still going strong. the wiring runs could be better bundled, but I have seen much worse also... They did try to remove the "bayliner" stigma...they have to some degree.... remember the same parent company that built the Vega and Chevette also build Corvettes and Cadillacs............
  12. what size is it/model ?........I have a 2000, 2802....no wood in hull structure, fiberglass foam filled stringers, bulkheads, there is a painted/sealed wood platform that holds the batteries and oil tanks, it is 18" above the bilge...9 yrs no problems except bilge pumps...
  13. did it occur to anyone, the irony of the "jewfish" re to "goliath"... in order to offset any possible insult or ethnic slur....they renamed jewfish to goliath...a huge Philistine who murdered jews.........
