DITTO global warming? Hell, I'm worried about global DARKNESS!!! Every day since June the daylight period has been getting SHORTER! At this rate, it's gonna be dark 24 hours a day within a couple years. I just read Menzies post about shortest day, but y'know, if we believe in "global Warming" based on its short period of observation, then I'm afraid Mr. Menzies is wrong. We're in for a long, hot, DARK summer............

Y'know, I've been involved in historic preservation of buildings for decades. Biggest was a 24,000 sq.ft. 4 story YWCA. That was CHILDS PLAY compared to your undertaking!

I don't have a problem with Menses..oops, menzies. Never did, even on the other site. Sure, I've had problems with trolls. Menzies isn't a problem. Jeesus, there was Captn. Jack whatsisname, the androgenous rabble rouser. The dive community. Other trolls with different screen names.

Well, I'll never fly again as long as I gotta deal with the friggin' idiots at TSA. As far as I'm concerned, the airline industry has gone to hell. so the TSA escaped the blame for incompetence this time..I'm sure another reason will pop up any minute...............

Took me years to deactivate the dam seat/ignition interrupt switch. Clever bastids used a connector with a tiny concealed shorting tab which activated if you unplugged the seat button.

Friggin' TSA couldn't find their butt with both hands. Kinda like Homeland Security.

Been to their shop down in (Palm Beach)..great guys, great operation. Best of everything, including personnel.

I've got years of experience in gasoline inboard engines, learned from automotive applications. If you have questions related to Chebbies, Fords, all carburetors, distributors, valve train, tuning and engine operation, ASK ME! If I don't know, I won't blow smoke.

I'm partial to Autolite, but you can't go wrong with original equipment.

"Made in America" does NOT mean "Made in the US" necessarily. For cars, it can include Canada and Mexico.

Just how much oil are you putting in each engine? Chevies have a front pump..if the engine is at a steep angle, you may not have adequate oil to cover the pickup. Don't rely solely on the dipstick.

1) The oil is too thick and is not draining out of the heads. 2) The oil level is too low. 3) The oil level is too HIGH and the crank is aerating the oil into a froth. Not much else goes wrong with small block Chevies.

Usually the idle speed is a combination of ignition advance AND carb linkage adjustment. With the introduction of crappy ethanol laced fuel, carb base settings often have to be corrected. Advancing base timing increases idle speed, retarding base timing slows the engine. DO NOT change the maximum timing!
