  1. Now I see where they went... This is about to get complicated.
  2. That looked just like a guy I saw at the boat show trying to sell electronics... Have you guys tested out any of the Stealth 6 bars?
  3. I recieved a '2015 Watersports Gear Guide" in the mail today...I think via my Boating magazine subscription. I saw an ad for Wet Sounds new Stealth Series Sound Bars... http://www.boemarine.com/wet-sounds-stealth-6-sound-bar-bluetooth-free-shipping/ Jim-Have you installed or listened to any of them? I'm looking for some speakers to mount under the front bench seat on my classic 15' Whaler... One of these sound bars looks like it could be perfect if it gets decent sound out of the small speakers...
  4. I think all those "homemade marker sticks" are now formalized with legit cement pilling day shapes. They looked to be nearly new and abundant in the mangrove area just south of New River. I think it will be a nice shortcut for me, I just don't want it to be a short cut that costs a prop or lower unit...
  5. I think my bigger concern at the moment is the western/northern part of the canal...the dump area, then mangrove area approaching the drawbridge for 84. It has a lot of new looking markers, following along what looks like homemade sticks (like in the flats in the Keys). As if someone formalized the locally marked channel. There are what seems to be an abundance of markers, so one could say now that its marked well... Just looking for some recent first hand knowledge.
  6. What do I need to watch out for when navigating the Dania Cut Off Canal, from the Intercostal to the New River? I'm aware there is a NOTAMed "Hazardous Rock Outcropping" near Harbortowne Marina: http://cruisersnet.net/nav-alerts/rocky-hazard-in-dania-cut-off-canal-south-of-fort-lauderdale-fl-statute-mile-1068-5-82912/ Though I don't know how old that is, or if its still there post-dredging. I also know stories of a few experienced folks that hit bottom along the canal (unknown where) and did some prop/lower unit damage... I haven't run it for years....but it can serve as a good back road for me now if its safe to navigate....
  7. Sure...,my dad is still wearing his that I bought from the first order....I could use a new one... White still please...
  8. I didn't realize that Glen E had disappeared too. I thought I saw some BMW rambling the other day....but now that I think about it...I think you are right. Now that I'm back in Ft. Lauderdale I need to figure out how to get him to come wax my boat
  9. Birdman...good call I knew there were more! I haven't seen much out of that dude that sold safes either...
  10. Jim wasn't the first...we could use Mike Carrigan's input again...Sea Bob....I'm sure there is someone that can list of the old great ones better than me...
  11. Why is it that we have to wait until the end of the ban to get the shirts? We should be able to wear them know and post pictures on that other forum... There will be no need to "Free BOE" in December! By the way....it was good to finally meet you in person at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show...I swung through right after lunch on Saturday
  12. I'm back! But for the record, you chastised me a time or two back on that other forum Sorry I've drifted away...this may be as good a reason as any to come back.... What has Wiley been up to?
