    Depends what you mean by "appreciable" I guess. There certainly are keel pads on the GB -- I've spent enough time scrubbing barnacles off them to know. In any case, a 22' hull that will do 27 kts with 230 hp just isn't a full displacement boat.

    The iPhone rocks. I was worried about ATT's coverage too, but I've found it's actually better than Verizon's in Miami.

    Pretty cool. I've got a number of boating related apps that are actually useful. TideGraph, AnchorAlarm, and Navionics for backup GPS. GoSkyWatch is very cool for star gazing.

    I have the 2000 and have run it outside in the midst of two hurricanes. Don't worry about the rain.

    I ownd a GB for several years. They may call it a displacement boat but the truth is that it's semi-displacement, albeit one with less design emphasis placed on high speed operation than the WC. A true displacement boat will be more efficient than a semi-displacement or planing boat at displacement speeds (and most likely at any speed).

    I've got 200' of 3/8". Most times I don't even need the anchor.

    Thank God the Redskins didn't get him. The feking idiot owner and GM tried their best to swap a promising, strong-armed, young QB who throws few interceptions, plus three high draft picks they don't have, for a strong-armed, young QB who throws lots of interceptions. Good deal for the Bears, though, since they didn't have a QB worth the name.

    Far as I can tell the Eagles aren't even in the hunt. Redskins seem most likely ... ######.

    Not exactly -- I had another login that got banned shortly after I revealed it on FCB. No doubt someone from THT lurking over there saw my post and ... BOOM. No loss as I was only checking out THT every couple months anyway.
