  1. I second this one, I use it for real-time predictions (my job site is sensitive to electrical storms). The forcasts are pretty accurate, the Carrvelle/NEXRAD is awesome! Shows lightning strikes to boot.
  2. I live in Columbus, GA but try to launch/fish out of Destin. Right now, the boat is in drydock status, complete refit/repower.
  3. Once you rebuild them, you have to get them to sync. More info (from another forum): http://www.marineengine.com/discus/message...87/115764.shtml http://www.marineengine.com/discus/message...487/81339.shtml Had an AQ130 that had sat for 3 years, rebuilt both carbs, once sync'd, ran like a raped ape (until I threw a rod).
  4. Since every boat I've owned has been 10 years old or older, I do my own. I always looked at it this way - There ain't no repair shop at sea, so I have to be able to do it myself.
  5. 2 Issues - 1) check valves WILL clog with whatever trash is in the bildge. It'll work, but once they fail, whenever 1 pump is running, part the water will be diverted back into the bildge. 2) the volume of water when both pumps are running will be too high for 1 discharge hose, so the stronger pump will force backflow into the weaker pump. Go with a second thru-hull.
  6. Check and see if your town has a Hazardous Waste Turn-In point or day. I got rid of about 45 gallons of 5-year old gas in March, have about another 30 gallons to go - needed a second drum to drain my boat. Where I'm at , it's a lot better than dumping it out - everything goes straight to the river and the GOM.
