Hello, Im new to the boating world but due to a move i now live where owning a boat will be very nice. my question to everyone is im looking to buy my first boat ill mostly be fishing in bays and sounds but i would love to be able to venture out of the sounds on calm days and make very short trips in to the gulf and by short i mean no more than a mile. i'd like to spend around 10k for a boat i know at this price it may be a fixer upper but due to being younger and in the military thats all my budget will allow at this time. the part i need yalls help with is what length boat and type would be best for this type of trips. I have a full size v8 truck so pulling the boat is taken are of. Thanks for the help in advance.
