  1. We lost power for exactly 7 days. No generator meant no water. Wasn't fun, but no damage like some folks.
  2. I dont know the guy and never used him. Which seems to be the case with most of the guys that posted on those threads. They have an agenda for sure.
  3. I have been running an etec since april, about 100 hours and it has been great. so I endorse the etec as well
  4. The livewell should self drain the washdown, I just disconnect the hoses from each side of the pump and let the pump drain I leave them off until the spring
  5. i do not boat off shore, but in long island sound you can always see shore and vhf reception is good as well as cell. but how can one boat off shore without an epirb? it also sounds like no one stood night watch when maybe they could have worked on the problem before it was too late glad they are safe and home
  6. received several responses on THT no one with an invicta? SNOBS
  7. Any feedback from you guys? I have seen them on the web for very good prices and they look sharp. Do they stay as sharp looking or do you get what you pay for?
  8. What about internet service? I hate the cable company but the HDTV picture is beyond flawless and the internet speed is awesome
  9. True, when I throw a code there is very little I can do to troubleshoot without the software and a laptop. Checking for cooling restriction is about it and then if there is one, fire it up and take a test run.
  10. When I joined THT trashing outboards was all the rage. The fichts and the opti pops. Is it just me or are the newer models (all brands) performing better than predessors? I am not reading much about any one brand with an issue. By the way my 2000 Ficht is still running strong. This is not intened to start bashing of brands.
  11. If I understand correctly, if they held up the disbursement, then they owe you a day of interest because you did not have the funds and continue to accrue interest on the old loan. But having been through this many a time (no the DL issue) dont waste your time, it is worth more. Good deal on the rate. Take care. And as stated above it is not a require to obtain a loan that you have a valid DL, just that under the Patriot Act that your identity can be confirmed by the settlement agent.
  12. RI I am a real estate attorney in CT and closing many refinances these days. The answer to your question is 2 part. From a title company standpoint, you are correct. The license is used to confirm your identity. I would submit that even a recently expired license is acceptable along with some other form to confirm your identity. Now for part two, the lenders have complete idiots working for them and cannot think for themselves. They can only read their checklist and if it states valid license at the end of the recission period, then they will require it. Somewhere in the closing instructions to your attorney it states that he/she cannot disburse their funds unless they have complied with the lenders requirements. Bottom line, right or wrong, get your license renewed and get them a copy or your loan may not fund. I say may, because some lender may relent and make an exception, however, if it is Provident Funding they will not fund your loan. Good luck and let us know how you make out. P.S. I hope you got a rate of 4.75 or better if it is a conforming loan.
