I have both an EPIRB and a PLB, both GPS enabled, but did without for many years as I have been offshore before you could even buy an EPIRB for non-commercial uses. I won't slam anyone for not having one - it's a personal decision, and I'm glad we are still able to make this decision without government interference.

Yup, I have one. ACR with the gps. About the only piece of safety gear that I don't have yet is a life raft. I'll get one when my son get's old enough to go offshore with me.

GPS EPIRB I do not fish without it and it is the one thing I don't want to be without. Also have a raft. I just don't like being 60 miles out and not having a sure way to get help and a dry place to sit. After my plotter and a good VHF it is the next thing I bought before radar...AP...nicer fishing gear...etc.
